Impairment Benefit Specialist

Allianz is also one of the leading private Workers' Compensation insurers in Australia. We currently have a fantastic opportunity available within our Victorian Workers’ Compensation division for an Impairment Benefits Specialist to solidify a long term Impairment Benefit career.  

 

You will be exposed to a team of experts in the field and will acquire leading knowledge in the field of Impairment Benefits. You will have accordingly a strong capacity to learn and self-driven motivation to progress your career path.

Primarily, you will be actively involved as an Allianz representative for matters related to Impairment Benefit claims in accordance with the VWA legislative guidelines and requirements. You will also provide expert advice to injured workers and their legal representatives, and effectively and efficiently manage the conciliation portfolio arising from your decision making.

 

To be considered for this role, you will have:

 

  • Extensive claims management experience              
  • WorkSafe or TAC Training in AMA 4 Guidelines      
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology.           
  • Expert working knowledge of the operations of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and exposure to the conference setting.                            
  • Exceptional ability to deal with multiple tasks at one time                             
  • Advanced PC knowledge and Microsoft Office

           

The following would be highly desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in an allied health field or related employment           
  • Exposure to project work, with targeted results delivery.
  • Claims dispute management experience      
  • Knowledge of ACCtion database and other WorkSafe systems
  • Nursing or medical background.       
  • Prior experience in managing hearing loss claims
