We currently have an opportunity for a motivated Account Manager to join our Financial Institutions team in Melbourne. Reporting to VIC Senior Account Manager, you will grow the general insurance portfolio of one of our major Financial Institutions partners by working closely with the VIC Retail Leadership Team and Retail Network. You will have the opportunity to develop sales strategy and provide sales coaching to staff via agreed territory management and daily branch visits.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Opportunity to develop sales strategy with the State Leadership Team
•    End to end account management of your portfolio
•    Providing sales coaching to bankers, branch and regional managers to increase penetration to customer base
•    Identifying new sales opportunities and maximising sales outcomes
•    Designing sales programs to maximise sales uplift
•    Establishing clear strategic direction
•    Retention of your existing portfolio
•    Maintaining the appropriate documentation and using salesforce to manage account activities
•    Designing and executing sales programs

To be considered for this role you will possess:

•    Experience in Financial Services, ideally in Insurance, Retail Banking or a Call Centre environment
•    Understanding of and ability to implement the sales process (building rapport, offering solutions, etc)
•    Proven ability to coach and develope salespeople
•    Stakeholder management experience, ideally in Account management / portfolio management experience
•    Effective relationship building skills
•    Strong customer service ethic
•    Resilience
•    Energy and sales drive
