We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate individual to join our Team as a Senior Underwriter. Reporting to the New Zealand Manager, you will ‎‎be part of an exciting ‎ team pursuing excellence for our Members and Partners.

Along the way, ‎‎you ‎will develop your underwriting knowledge, as well as learn about boats and boat components from trailer boats through to launches and yachts. You will be required to ‎underwrite and rate pleasurecraft risks, analyse survey and condition reports and communicate with our intermediary partners and our end customers.

As a Senior Underwriter within Club Marine you will support our Sales team and the wider Club Marine team to achieve our financial targets.  You will be responsible to maintain quality and compliance by meeting Club Marine's underwriting guidelines.

The ideal person for this role will be flexible in their approach and have a strong focus on Customer Service and strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting with intermediary partner enquiries and provide response follow-up within agreed ‎‎‎timeframes
  • Quote and Bind, Broker New Business policies and renewals
  • Processing of new policies and renewals
  • Assisting other areas of the business to achieve agreed targets

To succeed in this role you will possess:‎

  • Underwriting knowledge
  • Experience in Customer Service & Sales
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem solving ability and a keen eye for detail
  • Proactive time management skills
  • Sound computer skills with good working knowledge of MS Office
  • General knowledge of Boats will be highly regarded
