The HR Business Partner function was established in 2016 and has worked hard to create strong working relationships with internal client groups and have a very real and direct impact. We are now looking to add a Melbourne based BP that will focus on working collaboratively with the broader HR team and leaders across our 800 employees we have based in Melbourne, implementing initiatives that support strategic business outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong track record of being able to identify and deliver business led people solutions that deliver commercial performance and strategic change. The role involves working with leaders on solutions for both people and organisational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a HR strategist as well as a change agent and solutions partner;
  • Formulate people insights and recommendations by using workforce data;
  • Share HR insights in line with business market environments;
  • Leverage resources from and collaborate with our HR CoEs  to implement forward-thinking HR solutions; and
  • Support organisational effectiveness, change management, organisation design, etc.

You will work within a well-regarded HR team (primarily based in Sydney) and have the opportunity to learn and share experiences with capable and passionate HR professionals. The role provides broad exposure across the organisation and will provide you with the opportunity to challenge your communication and influencing skills through regular interaction with our stakeholders. This is not a role for the faint hearted, or for those that like to spend their time with individual people matters.

In addition, you will have:

  • Generalist BP experience in HR in a corporate and/or consulting environment (3yrs + in a large matrix environment);
  • Ability to be a strong sparring partner to business stakeholders - creativity and imagination to get to yes, with the courage to say no;
  • Strong communication & facilitation skills to integrate different views & interests in a diverse environment;
  • Commercial mindset and ability to make independent decisions in line with organisational priorities;
  • Strong influencing skills and experience of managing change in the workplace;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills; and
  • A strong customer focus
