We seek an experienced Motor Assessor to step up and take the role of Senior Motor Assessor. This position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your technical motor repair and industry knowledge within an Industry leading organisation. Based from your home office, you will ensure motor vehicle repairs are conducted in a timely and professional manner and the cost of those repairs are fair and reasonable, with a focus on ensuring the interests of Allianz and the customer are considered.

The successful applicant will be responsible for internal and external escalations, and provide assistance to the Assessing Manager surrounding the Performance and Development of the team.

Essential qualifications and experience required:

  • Qualified tradesperson within the motor vehicle repair industry
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • An understanding of motor vehicle repair techniques
  • Previous experience in Motor Vehicle assessing practices (desirable)
  • Experience in quoting damaged vehicles and knowledge ‎of the Insurance Code of Practice
  • Experience in repair shop management / estimating experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Tertiary management / insurance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience managing remote staff (desirable)
  • Excellent computer, ‎organisational & time management skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Previous experience supervising or coaching colleagues
  • Current Drivers Licence
