Allianz Australia, Broker and Agency Division are dynamic, innovative and ‎successful. The Broker & Agency division is Allianz Australia largest distribution channel whose customers include Commercial, Corporate and international buyer groups throughout Australia and New Zealand. Our commercial division works with a large network of brokers nationally. We offer a large number of products ranging from domestic business through to tailored commercial products.

Reporting to the State Manager your role will be to lead sales and relationship management for the Victorian/Tasmania - Regional area within our largest commercial broker portfolio nationally. This will involve leading the sales team and managing the planning and implementation of sales and distribution strategies. You will ensure a strong focus on new business and retention as well as building a high profile with our brokers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales team leadership: Managing, leading and developing the sales team to achieve targets. This involves applying strong sales management disciplines and structures to the team  (i.e salesforce, sales coaching)
  • Relationship Management: This involves leading and building strong relationships with our broker panel and building a strong presence in the market.
  • Delivery of strategic initiatives: development and implementation of initiatives to enhance sales capability.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Working closely with various stakeholders internally to deliver strong sales outcomes stakeholders could include: Underwriting teams, national sales teams and other branches.
  • Customer satisfaction: Leading the team to achieve Net Promoter Score (NPS) objectives and ensure broker principals and senior broker are highly satisfied and feedback is actioned.
  • Underwriting quality: Undertake analysis, identify issues and implement strategies to ensure profitable business is obtained.
  • Compliance and Expense management: Ensure all compliance standards are met and expenses are managed within budget objectives.

To be successful in this role we are looking for an experienced Sales and Distribution Manager who is looking for an opportunity to lead our largest portfolio nationally.

 Key skills and experiences we are seeking include:

  • Proven leadership experience. In particular with strong experiences in leading high performing sales teams to achieve excellent results.  This includes familiarity with strategic selling strategies and processes.
  • Sales and Account Management experience.  In particular we are seeking someone who has the ability to effectively build relationships with clients  & stakeholders both internally and externally
    • Strategic selling skills. The ability to provide leadership and understand new opportunities.
    • High attention to detail coupled with a knowledge of risk management and compliance
    • Previous experience in Sales leadership  roles within the insurance industry
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desired
