Supporting the company underwriting strategy, the successful candidate will primarily provide leadership in commercial broker distribution management across Underwritten Workers Compensation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, lead and foster WA based commercial broker opportunities and relationships
  • Achieve company retention rate and new business targets
  • Manage, lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals' with oversight of commercial sales, distribution and underwriting functions
  • Drive the national SME sales and distribution strategy
  • Develop robust sales and business plans across our key segments, partners and customers, and monitor performance against plan
  • Monitor the commercial broker segment and complete portfolio management routines to identify opportunities to maximise growth and profit

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven underwriting capabilities in Workers Compensation or  similar long tail lines
  • Business development and/or relationship management experience, with solid and proven relationship building skills
  • People management experience in a sales and/or underwriting environment
  • Exposure to the WA Workers Compensation environment would be highly regarded
  • Understanding of legislative, regulatory environment and scheme design within national jurisdictions
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded but are not essential
