Pricing Actuary

We are looking for a Pricing Actuary to join our successful actuarial team in our Technical Division. As part of this high performing team, you will be reporting to the Manager Pricing Analytics. In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide pricing recommendations to Retail Motor and Property Product teams to achieve strategic objectives
  • Responsible for the development of actuarial pricing models and competitor premium models
  • Project and staff management to ensure successful delivery of results and knowledge transfer
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including Product, Distribution, Market Management and other actuarial teams within the Technical Division
  • Identify market opportunities to drive improvements in our products and services
  • Governance of the pricing process including monitoring the performance of implemented initiatives

Ideally, candidates will possess experience in the general insurance environment, and will display ‎initiative and a proactive nature. In return, we will expose you to numerous opportunities to develop and learn ‎in a friendly and supportive environment.‎

To be considered for these opportunities you will possess:

  • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in General Insurance
  • Have experience in GLM or Machine Learning techniques
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovation and improvements
  • Strong time management and organisation skills, with the ability to multi-task and ‎prioritise your work, whilst working in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with SAS, Emblem and Radar beneficial
