Business Analyst

Allianz is currently looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join a team of driven and enthusiastic Actuaries and Analysts. In this role you will use your analytical and enquiring mind to deliver reporting and analysis that helps set the strategic directions of the Workers' Compensation team. Your strong analytical skills will allow you to conduct in-depth analysis identifying and interpreting the trends within large data sets. In this role you will also support the business in the identification and achievement of objectives, targets and benefits realisation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a robust reporting framework to analyse performance for the business and recommend improvement initiatives
  • Assist the reporting team to continue the development and improvement of tools utilised by the business
  • Develop relationships with professional partners e.g. Auditors and Regulators
  • Work with Claims managers, assisting in identifying solutions to improve performance and results
  • Develop  strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help them achieve the business' goals

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use statistical methods to identify and interpret the drivers of experience
  • Previous experience in analysing and reporting on large data sets
  • An ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to emphasise business goals
  • Proven ability to write data manipulation code (SAS, SQL or VBA desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to convey technical results to non-technical people
  • Qualifications in Statistics, Mathematics or similar will be highly regarded as favourable
  • An ability to identify areas of improvement within the business, and support change

A background in general insurance and specific experience in workers' compensation will be viewed favourably.
