Due to our continued investment in Risk & Compliance resources, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty has a Compliance Manager vacancy.  The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and deploying effective compliance strategies to promote a strong and efficient internal control environment across the business with a focus on the Country insurance product development.

This position has significant influence over our ability to deliver service in a timely and compliant manner. You will work closely with stakeholders across all levels, to assist them in managing their risks including compliance with laws and regulations, whilst maintaining a high standard of appropriate records.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance support for the business, projects and initiatives and to advise on legal and/or regulatory considerations arising from product and business perspective
  • Working closely with the Underwriting team to support of the underwriting area (all lines of business) with a focus on the Country insurance product compliance
  • Ensure compliance audit (external/ internal) findings and requests are handled and mitigated appropriately by setting up an organizational approach to enable follow ups and fast and correct responses
  • Act as main coordinating point for Compliance audit related and regulatory requests into the organization
  • Facilitate regulatory inspections, initiate work groups (where necessary) to resolve any regulatory issues that are raised by the regulator and monitor the implementation of the solutions with regular updates to management. Ensure corporate governance adherence.    

To be considered for this role you should possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in risk management and compliance, insurance or audit
  • Minimum 3-5 years comprehensive practical experience in insurance regulatory requirement with knowledge of the Country market
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across various lines of business and with external cooperation partners
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen and client service mentality
  • Exceptional analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your time autonomously
