About the Role:

Our Workers Compensation Division are seeking a Customer Insights Analyst to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Customer Insights Analyst you will design, develop and execute reports to create compelling insights for both our customers and the business. You will play a key part in understanding the data and insights that our stakeholders need to make effective business decisions. To achieve this, you will have the necessary skills to take these insights and translate them into a reporting suite that is accessible for our users.

You will also be accountable for supporting the delivery and implementation of analytical services to meet Underwritten Workers Compensation's business strategic outcomes.

Further Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and execute reports that create compelling insights for customers and the business
  • Create/modify and maintain business critical data / reporting related tools
  • Assist to define Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities, features and data requirements
  • Regular review of reporting suite to ensure it meets current business requirements and is produced with accuracy, efficiency & effectiveness.
  • Respond to new reporting needs, consulting with stakeholders to understand their requirements and making recommendations on the most appropriate data sources, analysis and reporting formats to meet these needs.
  • Work within agreed data governance and operating model to ensure data integrity and manage operational risk.

About you:

The successful applicant will possess the following skills, attributes and experience: 

  • SAS or similar query & statistical analysis language (e.g. SAS, R, Python)
  • Experience with MicroStrategy software
  • Experience working in previous roles with a high degree of complex data analysis and translation of data analysis into insights
  • Workers Compensation / General Insurance experience would be highly desired
  • Degree qualification in a STEM discipline  (e.g. maths, computer science, engineering, data science, statistics) would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • You will be collaborative and a strong team player
