Our Technical division is responsible for product development, pricing, portfolio management, reinsurance and underwriting services. We support our distribution functions through the improvement of the product and pricing framework for all of the Allianz General Insurance portfolios.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to take on a new role in our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for helping to drive underwriting capability within the organisation further equipping underwriting staff and their managers with the information and knowledge required to ensure appropriate and consistent underwriting decisions are made, whilst maintaining a high quality of work and complying with all Allianz processes and procedures.

Key duties include:

  • Coordinate, collate and report on a range of defined metrics to various stakeholders.
  • Drive the delivery and uptake of the Allianz Group training program to support the development of underwriting capability within Allianz Australia.
  • Analyse underwriting review data and issue reports to the business to support underwriter development.
  • Actively drive change management within the business to implement process improvements.
  • Assist with the maintenance and further development of the team intranet pages and databases managed by the team.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • General knowledge of the insurance market and underwriting practices
  • The ability to critically analyse and evaluate data to enable continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders including management
  • Relevant Tertiary or Insurance Qualifications would be highly desirable
