An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Communications Manager – Culture and Conduct to be appointed within our Market Management division, based in our Sydney CBD office. 

About the Role:

The Internal Communications Manager, Culture and Conduct, is responsible for managing all communications around a specific program of compliance and improvement initiatives, at Allianz Australia. This includes both setting and implementing the internal communications strategy for the overarching program, and providing guidance on the communication of program initiatives.

The successful applicant is required to work closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, as well as stakeholders across the Corporate Governance and Conduct Division, as well as Market Management, Human Resources and the rest of the enterprise. The ability to turn milestones across multiple projects into compelling and engaging communications to help employees personally connect with these new initiatives is essential.

Due to the project focus and funding requirements for this role, this appointment will initially be a two year fixed term contract role.  However, we envisage longer term career opportunities would present themselves within our Market Management division for the successful applicant who joins us.

The successful applicant will deliver the following role responsibilities and objectives:

  • Develop and implement communications strategies to help communicate a program of significant change to Allianz Australia employees, and some external stakeholders.
  • Ensure these strategies align with the broader Internal Communications strategy, and align to the Corporate Strategy.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify key project milestones, and proof points of momentum, regularly communicate these to employees/external stakeholders.
  • Work with each Division to help their employees to understand how their individual efforts contribute to our Group Purpose and local Ambition.
  • With the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, and relevant Change Manager, assess internal communications effectiveness and ensure that messages are being absorbed and implemented where necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and support the Group Manager, Communications.

 About You:

The successful applicant will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the enterprise
  • A strong focus on leader communication to improve ownership and cascading of information relating to the strategy among senior leaders and across their teams
  • The ability to translate complex information into engaging information for employees.
