Due to business growth and demand, our Technical division is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Pricing Analyst / Pricing Lead, to join our Actuarial Pricing team based at our Market Street, Sydney CBD office. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your research, problem solving, communication and analytical skills.

About the Role:

The key objective of the Senior Pricing Analyst / Pricing Lead is to guide the quantitative analysis and modelling projects and deliver insights to inform pricing decisions for our General Insurance products. You will have the opportunity to work closely with ‎internal stakeholders and the senior management team to provide ‎innovative solutions and drive business outcomes.

Key role objectives: 

  • Provide pricing recommendations and insights to internal stakeholders, reflecting competitive and commercial considerations to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ownership and continual refinement of the rating and pricing models, including risk and demand models
  • Monitor the performance of implemented initiatives to support continuous refinement of models and pricing strategy
  • Manage and support the development of junior staff and drive a positive and engaged team culture
  • Develop trusted advisor relationship with internal stakeholders and senior management to  proactively engage and address business concerns
  • Contribute to the development of product strategy and support its implementation
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and improvements in our processes, products and services

About You:

You will possess the following skills/ experience within a similar Pricing role in the General Insurance Industry: 

  • Minimum 5 years of pricing experience, with knowledge in Personal Lines preferable
  • Strong business acumen with a holistic view of portfolio and a focus on customer experience
  • Technical expert in predictive models (e.g. GLMs) with Machine Learning knowledge beneficial
  • Strong communication and project management skills with experience leading smaller project teams
  • The ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Driven and engaged team player
  • Experience with people management is viewed favourably
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovation and improvements
  • Experience with Willis Towers Watson pricing software (Emblem, Radar) and SAS, R or Python knowledge desirable
  • Actuarial Qualification would be viewed favourably
