Our Broker & Agency Distribution division works with a large network of brokers nationally. We deliver consistent, sustainable insurance risk and premium funding solutions for our broker partners and their clients.

As an Allianz Key Account Manager you will partner with our broker customers to foster profitable growth with the end customer in mind, striving to “be the Benchmark” in our intermediated sector. Working across a broad spectrum of insurance products, you will utilise your selling ability within one of the largest product ranges in the industry. Facilitating business lines that include motor, property and liability, Broker and Agency Distribution is an innovative and highly successful Allianz division with customers in Commercial, Corporate and International buyer groups throughout Australia and New Zealand.

You will be working to earn the right to be our brokers' preferred partner by:

You will work towards meeting and exceeding targets, proactively managing Key Partner relationships ensuring you promote Allianz via meetings and formal presentations.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of highly focused broker accounts to build deep, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Developing and driving a strategic approach for growing your portfolio and achieving  financial targets
  • Working autonomously while continually adding value to a range of individuals and organisations

Skills and Background:

Suitable candidate will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent knowledge of the general insurance market and in particular brokerage sector
  • The ability to develop strong relationships and customer rapport
  • Sound business planning and portfolio management skills
  • Strategic selling and presentation capabilities
  • Solid managerial and organisational skills
  • Underwriting knowledge of SME and tailored risks such as ISR and Liability
  • Qualifications in ANZIIF or NIBA desirable
  • University Qualification desirable
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and resolution skills
