An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Governance & Policy Analyst to join our newly created Governance & Conduct team, located at our Market Street, Sydney CBD office.

Reporting to the General Manager, Governance & Policy, this role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and assessment of organisation's governance frameworks to ensure alignment between strategy, policies, frameworks, forums and processes to support good governance, effective decision making and a healthy culture. The role will also support the efficient and effective operation of the Management Committees.

Key Role Objectives

  • Implement and assess governance frameworks to strengthen the organisation's system of governance, improve decision making and the health of Allianz Australia's culture
  • Support the implementation of a policy framework with a view to simplify and improve effectiveness
  • Support the implement accountability frameworks, i.e. BEAR/FEAR
  • Remain abreast of key industry trends, regulatory developments and implications for the organisation
  • Support the delivery of the culture strategy, frameworks and initiatives
  • Support the ongoing review of Committees with the lens of start, stop, continue and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness, accountability and support the      organisation's goals     
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Register of Delegations of Authority
  • Governance reporting

About You

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience as a high achiever in a similar policy or strategy role.  Ideally you will have experience within insurance or financial services.  You will possess the following skills:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a legal, risk, governance, economic advisory or compliance role
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, law or similar
  • Previous experience in a policy or strategy role
  • Experience working with regulators and/or government entities
  • Experience with performance frameworks, culture and change programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
