Allianz Australia, Broker and Agency Division are dynamic, innovative and ‎successful. The Broker & Agency division is Allianz Australia's largest distribution channel whose customers include Commercial, Corporate and International buyer groups throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the National Farm Portfolio Manager, the Farm Portfolio Specialist will assist with driving the overall Farm value proposition and strategy in accordance with the Broker & Agency business plan.

This role will be instrumental in providing product analysis and portfolio enhancing recommendations that support product strategy and demonstrate a commercially viable approach.

Some key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Contribution to the portfolio performance and provide underwriting expertise for new business and renewal management
  • Responsibility to support compliance, design and develop processes and procedures for quality orientation within the business unit and strive for business improvement
  • Understand market forces in platform and broker/agency environment and develop solutions to meet market need and changes
  • Conduct effective internal and external client relationships and be able to leverage them effectively when necessary
  • Development of technical and professional knowledge

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in general insurance, preferably in the Australian Farm Market
  • Excellent Underwriting experience and proven expertise interacting with Brokers
  • Highly developed analytical skills and the ability to translate to recommendations
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualifications - preferably financial / business
  • ANZIIF qualifications preferable
  • Relevant insurance industry qualifications would be highly desirable
