An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Communications Manager – Strategy to be appointed within our Market Management division, based in our Sydney CBD office. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Internal Communications, the role is responsible for managing all employee communications around the launch and embedment of our new company strategy, across Allianz Australia.

This role will initially be hired on a 12 month fixed term contract initially.

The Internal Communications Manager – Strategy will work closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, as well as stakeholders across Market Management, Strategy and Transformation and the rest of the enterprise, to understand and translate strategy messages into compelling and engaging communications to help employees personally connect with the new strategy.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for communicating our Group Purpose and local Ambition to Allianz employees, and help them to understand their role in achieving them.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will deliver the following role responsibilities and objectives:

  • Develop and implement communications strategies to help Allianz Australia employees understand the strategy, Global Purpose and local Ambition, and their role in achieving them.
  • Ensure these strategies align with the broader Internal Communications strategy.
  • Work with the Strategy & Transformation team, as well as the rest of the business, to identify proof points of the strategy in action and regularly communicate these to employees.
  • Work with each Division to help their employees to understand how their individual efforts contribute to our Group Purpose and local Ambition.
  • With the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, assess internal communications effectiveness and ensure that messages are being absorbed and implemented where necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and support the Group Manager, Communications. 

About You:

The successful applicant will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the enterprise
  • A strong focus on leader communication to improve ownership and cascading of information relating to the strategy among senior leaders and across their teams
  • Proven experience in identifying employee engagement opportunities to drive the embedment of company strategies
  • The ability to translate complex information into engaging information for employees.
