We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is energetic and self-driven to join our Broker & Agency division as a Program Manager. Reporting to the Program Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Broker & Agency's technology program within agreed scope, time and cost constraints.

This role will support the development of solutions that deliver agreed business outcomes and continuously improve how projects are initiated and implemented. This is a highly visible role and requires a strong mix of people, influencing and project management skills. A sound understanding of good change management will be welcomed, and of course a good dose of patience and humour. Any day could see you working closely with a mix of senior Allianz leaders, stakeholders from any part of our business, external technology vendors and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan an integrated program of work using appropriate project methodologies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business problems, develop requirements, business cases and post implementation reviews.
  • Undertake project health checks to ensure delivery aligns with the business strategy, goals and objectives.  
  • Identify and manage program issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Provide proactive interventions and decision making to ensure the program stays on track.
  • Oversee the development of change management strategies and the implementation of change plans.
  • Respond effectively to changes in scope and priorities.
  • Influence and build productive relationships with key business stakeholders, project sponsors and third party partners / suppliers.
  • Negotiate at a senior level on complex issues to ensure that customers, suppliers and other stakeholder understand and agree what will meet their needs.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience working as a project manager delivering large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g. sales, operations, technology, external partners and/or vendors) with a track record of delivering on both tactical and strategic projects.
  • Experience in applying and adapting project management processes, methodologies, tools & techniques to different organisational operating models / cultures.
  • Project management certification in PMP, PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Proficient in project management tools e.g. MS Project / Office, Visio, JIRA or similar.
  • Sound understanding of Insurance business requirements and systems.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
