Due to our continued investment in capacity & capability within our Line1 Risk & Compliance this is a newly created senior to manage the risk and compliance responsibilities for Allianz Partners as an underwriting agency.  Reporting directly into the Strategic Alliance Manager in one of our most high profile divisions you will be part of the broader Risk and Compliance community.  Working with the Strategic Alliance Manager and Chief General Manager on all Divisional risk management and compliance matters, you will be responsible for taking initiative in driving resolutions through liaison and collaboration with the other Risk and Compliance officers.  

You will be responsible for:

  • Ongoing monitoring of the Divisions compliance and risk frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Proactively investigating and resolving incidents or control failures
  • Monitoring and challenging the effectiveness of the Divisions management of risk
  • Maintaining records and reporting including incident management and complaints resolution systems
  • Proactively identifying and managing remediation of incidents, including any process and control improvements to prevent reoccurrence

To be successful in this role you should have: 

  • 5+ years Regulatory, Risk or Compliance experience, preferably within the Insurance or Financial Services industry
  • Strong stakeholder management  experience
  • Exceptional analytical and evaluation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your time
  • Intermediate Word and Excel skills including reporting 

This position has significant influence over our ability to deliver service in a timely and compliant manner. You will work closely with stakeholders across all levels within the Division, to assist them in managing their risks including compliance with laws and regulations, whilst maintaining a high standard of appropriate records.
