Allianz Australia has a new opportunity for you to join our finance team as a Finance Risk and Compliance Analyst.  Reporting to the Finance Risk and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring risks are appropriately identified, assessed and monitored as well as promoting a positive risk culture in Finance.   

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitation and documentation of Risk and Control Assessments within Finance to identify risks, mitigating controls, assess residual risk and required action plans by business owners
  • Proactively facilitate Finance business owners to record  and manage the remediation of identified incidents or control failures, perform root cause analysis and identify  any improvements in processes and controls required
  • Perform control assurance testing to assess whether appropriate controls are in place and operating effectively
  • Preparation of dashboard reporting to the Finance Leadership team on incidents, monitoring activities and other risk and compliance activities.
  • Preparation and/or facilitation of  reporting to second line of defence in accordance with reporting timelines
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with Finance Stakeholders and the wider Risk and Compliance community on risk and compliance management activities.

To be considered for this role you should possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in a commerce or business degree
  • 2-3 years' experience in an accounting or audit role within the insurance or financial services industry will be an advantage
  • Ability to identify root-causes and recommend practical solutions to address these
  • Working knowledge of identifying risks and controls
  • Knowledge of financial services regulatory framework
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability work collaboratively with stakeholders
