Our Liability Claims Unit manages material damage, financial loss and personal injury claims arising from Public and Product Liability or Professional Indemnity policies. Claims are diverse and often involve complex legal issues. 

We have an opportunity for a Non-Personal Injury Claims Manager in our NSW Liability Claims team. Reporting to the National Liability Claims Manager, you will lead a team of Claims Service Consultants managing non-personal injury claims. You will be responsible for managing relationships with peers, employees, stakeholders, management and customers, act as a point of contact on file issues and technical queries and ensure compliance with processes. 

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Strong people management skills – including coaching and development, managing HR/Performance issues and contributing to a positive team culture
  • Experience in claims management
  • Excellent customer focus and relationship management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong initiative and problem solving abilities combined with a solid business acumen
  • Professional and approachable demeanour
  • Intermediate skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
