About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to be appointed within our Finance Division, located at our Market Street, Sydney CBD office.

Reporting to the Manager – Management Reporting, this role will be responsible for the production of monthly reports and presentations for Group, Business, Board and Executive.

In this role, your strong financial analytical skills are critical as you will be a key contributor in the reporting and analysis of financial results, which will lead to key business decisions.

This role will play a pivotal part in the monthly reporting process analysis and presentation of financial results.  Other key focus areas will include delivery of effective expense management, planning and forecasting to assist with organisational preparation and submission of annual plans and forecasts.

This role will provide a great opportunity to engage as a true business partner with a strong understanding of general insurance principles and a distinct ability to analyse and visualise data for business insights.

About You:

The successful applicant will be an accomplished and results driven Finance Analyst, possessing the following experience and skills: 

  • A strong understanding of the general insurance sector
  • Experience in a statistical analysis, visualisation and presentation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in management accounting
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and report on data patterns and performance
  • Knowledge of SAP and TM1 would be highly regarded
  • High level stakeholder engagement skills, with a consultative ‘business partnering' approach.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft office Excel and Powerpoint
  • CA or CPA qualification would be highly desirable.
