About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager Strategy to be appointed within our Strategy and Transformation team, located at our Market Street, Sydney CBD office.

Reporting to the Head of Strategy, this role will be responsible for the development and communication of strategies at business unit, divisional and corporate level as well as providing advice and support to senior management including strategy implementation and strategic planning. 

The Senior Manager Strategy will also collaboratively lead, scope, guide and deliver strategic project work to assist our Executive and Senior Management Team to achieve excellence across Allianz strategic business objectives.

The successful applicant will have the following experience and skills:

  • Experience developing strong relationships and the ability to influence at CGM and GM level, with highly tuned senior stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects focused on strategic business objectives and results
  • Demonstrated ability around strategic and financial analysis skills
  • Experience developing strategies for complex organisations and the ability to provide advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Extensive project management experience around strategy work linked to business objectives, including the ability to scope, model and lead project work.

About You: 

  • Extensive experience with managing strategy frameworks and tools ideally obtained at a top management consulting firm or in-house consulting firm.
  • Experience working within a Strategy role with a General Insurance organisation or within Financial Services
  • Tertiary qualification in Business and Finance – Master of Commerce or MBA preferred
  • Experience with corporate planning and providing advice to senior management
  • Highly tuned stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with developing and reviewing strategies in complex multi-layered organisations
