Allianz Insurance Australia is part of the Allianz Global Group operating in ‎‎every State and Territory in Australia, and is one of the leading general insurers. ‎Claims services delivers a market leading customer experience by providing expert claims service for direct customers, Broker & Agents, Financial institution, Motor Dealers and other business partners.

We are currently seeking a Motor Assessing Team Manager to oversee our Digital Motor Assessing Team in our Operations Division. The Motor Assessing Team Manager role applies their technical and industry knowledge to ensure motor vehicle repairs are conducted in an appropriate manner and the costs of those repairs are fair and reasonable across their assessing unit. They will also ensure that a high level of customer service is provided by motor assessing at all times. 

The successful applicant will provide assistance to the Partnerships and Performance Manager by managing the performance and development of the Digital Motor Assessing staff within their team. The role holder will be required to maintain their motor assessing skills and may conduct assessments as required.

Essential qualifications and experience required:

  • Qualified tradesperson within the motor vehicle repair industry
  • An understanding of motor vehicle repair techniques
  • Previous experience in Motor Vehicle assessing practices (desirable)
  • Experience in quoting damaged vehicles and knowledge ‎of the Insurance Code of Practice
  • Experience in repair shop management / estimating experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Tertiary management / insurance qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent computer, ‎organisational & time management skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Previous experience supporting or coaching colleagues
  • Current Drivers Licence
