At Allianz our Information Technology (IT) Division is located in a state of the art activity based working environment. The design brings our IT employees together in a spacious North Sydney office and creates a central, sustainable working environment. The new workplace has been designed to promote collaboration, flexibility and efficiency providing employees the freedom and technology to move around to different workstations, collaboration spaces and meeting rooms. 

Allianz is looking to appoint a new Service Desk Analyst to join our IT Business Services team based in amazing office space at North Sydney and to join our engaging and collaborative team and culture.

This position is responsible for any hardware, software, system and application issues reported by internal users across our Australian and New Zealand businesses.

The key skills & experience desired for this position are as follows:-

  • Strong customer service delivery with the ability to connect with people at all levels.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good technical knowledge of Windows 7 & Microsoft Office 2010.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting desktop applications
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to log and process tickets in an acceptable manner.
  • A desire to pursue a career in IT
  • Available to work a 7.5 hour shift between the hours of 7am-6pm with the ability to work on a rotational roster for after hours on call.

It would be highly regarded if you also have experience in the following areas:-

  • IT Tertiary qualifications
  • Citrix / Lotus Notes / Exchange
  • Exposure to change management practices.
  • Relatively decent typing speed.
