National Relationship Manager

Broker and Agency (B&A) is an innovative and highly successful Allianz division with customers in Commercial, Corporate and International broker groups throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As a National Relationship Manager you will strategically manage senior/executive business relationships with allocated national and international broker partners, and create and implement business plans to achieve profitable growth. You will work with Allianz key stakeholders, across multiple divisions, to prospect for profitable opportunities and take ownership of key initiatives, including partnership agreements, events and conferences, strategic business plans, develop business cases and drive the ongoing development of insurance products, systems and service propositions relevant to the broker groups.

Your relationship building and management skills, coupled with your strong business acumen, and influencing skills, will support and complement a team that is ‎similarly focused on our strategy to achieve profitable growth and the delivery of superior customer service to broker groups and their clients.

Suitable candidates will be highly motivated, ambitious and ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of the General Insurance market and insurance broker market
  • Strong relationship building - senior/executive relationship management skills
  • Sound understanding of Insurance financial and KPI reporting metrics
  • Strong presentation, communication and business planning skills
  • Strong persuasion, influence and coordination skills - able to work effectively across multiple business units.
  • Strategic selling, including prospecting skills
  • Sound understanding general lines underwriting, risk evaluation and pricing
  • ANZIIF/CIP/NIBA and /or relevant tertiary qualification (not mandatory, but highly regarded)
