We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced ‎Senior Underwriter - Personal Lines to join our team in our highly successful Underwriting Development team.

In this role you will be responsible for the effective management of projects to deliver key initiatives, formation and implementation of scheme opportunities, monitoring and reporting business and financial KPIs to ensure long term sustainable growth.

As the Senior Underwriter - Personal Lines you will:

  • Underwriting accounts maintaining the required Allianz technical  standards but always being cognisant of the overall relationship between the client, the intermediary and Allianz ensuing that all stakeholders remain satisfied
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
  • Prioritising and monitoring tasks and be flexible as needs change to ensure completion within stakeholders requirements
  • Actively participating and supporting the team environment
  • Assisting team members with technical & personal development and to implement changes as required
  • Participating in underwriting reviews and audits

Suitable candidates will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Extensive underwriting experience of Personal Lines portfolios
  • Experience in developing and delivering training in a variety of settings
  • Working knowledge of relevant Insurance Acts and Codes
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence
  • Ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and a customer focused work ethic
  • Intermediate PC skills (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word)
