We are currently looking for a strategic thinker and a strong leader for this critical role within a high performing Risk Management division. As the Operations Manager, you will be working as a part of the second line of defence supporting the operations of the Risk Management Team. This role will also be responsible for providing administrative support on risk reporting, risk issues tracking and co-ordination of various Management Committees.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Co-ordinating the suite of reporting by the Second Line Risk Management Team to  various management risk and governance forums
  • Providing administration support for Risk Team's use of Risk Systems
  • Co-ordinating and facilitating the effective operation of various Risk Committee meetings
  • Administering a process to obtain and track the business's progress in dealing with risk issues 

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business related degree
  • Exposure to the operations of a general insurer, life insurer or financial services operations
  • Strong ability to communicate (both verbal and written) with people at all levels within the organization including the Executives
  • Proven experience in a customer service environment
