Account Manager - Financial Institutions NSW

It is an exciting time to join our expanding Financial Institutions (FI) Sales team in NSW with a role as Account Manager to a large Newcastle based FI partner. You'll join our Financial Institutions (FI) team in our Retail Distribution division with responsibility for the Partner relationship. The role will encompass a need for strong skill set in Strategic Account Management.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our Partner's Insurance portfolio's with a strategic and customer-centric approach.

You will have the opportunity to develop Sales & Marketing strategies, project enhancement and implementation and key internal and external stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • End to end account management of your portfolio
  • Management of projects in conjunction with key stakeholders such as Marketing, Digital, IT, Sales Operations
  • Developing multi-level sales relationships within the Partner's network
  • Monitoring current sales programs to maximise sales uplift
  • Identifying new sales opportunities
  • Maintaining the appropriate account plans and utilising key sales tools to effectively manage account activities

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in insurance industry, with particular strengths in sales, relationship management and preferably an experience in training GI & CCI products
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and engage key stakeholders
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of and ability to implement the sales process (building rapport, offering solutions, system navigation etc)
  • Results-orientation and sales drive
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
