Desktop Support Technician - Darwin - 12 Month Full Time Temporary

  • Utilise your strong desktop support experience in a Windows environment

As a Desktop Support Technician you will become part of a team which is responsible for the logging and resolution of 1st to 3rd level software and hardware incidents. The team is also responsible for the completion of Service Requests for hardware and the deployment of software to end user PCs. They are noted for providing a very high standard of customer service - which is paramount to their on-going success. This is a 12 month full time temporary position supporting TIO.

Other duties in this role include:

  • 2nd and 3rd level support of PC hardware and software,
  • Troubleshooting software conflicts and performance issues and also provide telephone & remote support where required.
  • Routine work such as hardware & software audits & test and tagging of electrical equipment.

It is expected that you will have the following skills and experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills of PCs in a Windows environment
  • Solid experience with end user technology support
  • Strong Windows 7\8 troubleshooting skills
  • Sound knowledge around Lotus Notes & Citrix
  • Excellent software (MS Office) skills
  • Sound knowledge of SOE principles and concepts
  • Exposure to the processes of Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management
  • Experience supporting a range of end user devices (PDA's, printers, Scanners, modems, etc)
  • Current and valid drivers licence
  • After hours and weekend work as required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated sound troubleshooting methodology
