Security Operations Manager - Sydney CBD/North Sydney  - Permanent

  • Full Time Permanent opportunity with a global insurance leader and great staff benefits
  • Currently located in the Sydney CBD with a location transfer to North Sydney in Q3 2018.
  • Responsible for all security operations in IT Security

We are looking for you to fill our Security Operations Manager role based in the Sydney CBD (relocation to North Sydney) on a Full Time Permanent basis. This role will see you report to the General Manager of IT Operations and  take on the responsibility for the operational components within IT Security.This includes Identity and Access Management, Network and Perimeter Security, Information Protection and other areas of Cyber Security as required.

It is expected that you will remain abreast of security threats, maintenance of procedures and processes for security compliance, ensure that appropriate monitoring and alerting occurs and manage the response team for security related incidents. Whilst working with stakeholders across all Divisions of Allianz, you will focus on building strong and trusted relationships with the IT and Operations Divisions.

Skills and Experience mandatory for this role include:

  • A Degree in Information Technology (or related) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing and conducting IT Security operations
  • Demonstrable experience in the implementation, operation and development of IT security standards, policies, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of the major trends, strategic directions and legislative and governance frameworks related to Information Security
  • Understanding of operational models, specifically IT Security operations
  • Team Management and leadership experience (15+ reports)
  • Successful management and implementation of projects related to Information Security and Cyber Protection

It would be highly desirable if you also possess:

  • Financial Services industry experience, specifically Insurance
  • Experience in IBM Mainframe, zLinux, Unix and Windows environments
  • Professional certification such as CISM, ASACA
  • Active member of AISA
  • Vendor or Manufacturer Certifications for Security Products and Solutions
