Senior Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity where you will be responsible for actively leveraging your strong Project Management background to work with the team to start up a new business within a dynamic and changing global environment to leverage expertise within the Allianz community.

You will be responsible for the IT delivery on a global program and ensuring the various streams are set up for success. This will require an understanding of the overall project scope and being able to identify how to approach, plan, manage and monitor the various streams. This is a challenging role managing internal and external global teams to establish the solutions needed for the various rollout phases of the program.   

We're looking for a flexible, articulate and self-organised Project Manager who can quickly identify risks and obstacles, and then create innovative solutions to any problems.
Strong stakeholder management skills are critical as you will manage global expectations while ensuring relevant communication plans are in place. You will have the opportunity to leverage your experience to effectively manage dependencies across the streams and integration between systems.

This will require the plans developed by each stream to align across the program and will also need to align with business stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the business needs.  There will be minimal direct line management responsibility more with a focus on the ability to provide feedback, encouragement and advice to unite the matrix teams behind a common goal.

The key skills & experience required for this position are as follows:

  • More than 10 years' experience in a Senior Project Management role, ideally with a Wealth Management background
  • Proven experience with Steering Committee reporting and financial tracking against the IT budget
  • Solid planning and workshop facilitation skills to ensure the right outcomes
  • Adaptable to changing program needs on a global scale
  • Self-motivated and outcome driven and enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and lead others
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to effectively follow up and track information
  • Experience in vendor management is desirable
