The Life Company sits within the Direct/Life business unit of the Retail Distribution division. The team is directly responsible for managing end to end our Direct Life products and for supporting our Consumer Credit Insurance channel which is distributed via our partnerships within the Financial Institution and Dealer sales units.

We have an opportunity for a team member to join our Head Office team in the role of New Business and Retention Specialist. Reporting to the Product Manager - Life, you will be responsible for the delivery of Allianz Life company strategic initiative. You will be focusing on new business and retention strategies, market insight, sales and marketing initiatives and in addition, assist in future development of products and processes, and delivery of initiatives that support our strategy to our Direct, Dealer and Financial Institutions Life portfolios.

With proven relationship management and execution capability, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions to meet the customer needs.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Identify, recommend, drive and implement innovative business improvement initiatives to deliver business results, enhance customer experience and deliver operational efficiencies
  • Optimise and monitor new business and retention programmes
  • Create relevant promotions for new and existing customers
  • Monitor competitor activity
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to design attractive and effective multi-channel marketing initiatives, campaigns and promotions, aligned with brand strategy and guidelines
  • Assisting with system testing and ongoing product/sales initiatives.
  • Fielding technical product enquiries
  • Working with various internal stakeholders to ensure that all Life products, processes and IT delivery systems meet the needs of the business and to ensure that we deliver within the framework of the Allianz Life Insurance strategy.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in business case and initiative recommendations, with proven successes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • A good understanding of the life industry and direct sales model is desirable
