Dealer underwriting is a highly successful and growing team within the Retail Distribution team of Allianz. We are currently seeking an experienced insurance Underwriter to join the team and contribute to our success in 2017. You will join a high performing team, working alongside a team of Commercial Underwriters and our State Sales Managers throughout Australia.

This is a varied and fast paced environment where you will be responsible for protecting the distribution of retail products through underwriting commercial insurances for franchised dealerships.
This role is not focused on the sale of CTP and/or retail products.

You will also form effective business relationships with our key partners and help drive results, and apply your technical expertise to ensure appropriate underwriting decisions are made.

In order to be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Extensive previous experience underwriting commercial business packages, industrial special risk, motor, liability policies.
  • Tier 2 qualifications
  • ANZIIF qualifications would be beneficial
  • Working knowledge & application of relevant legislation & regulations
  • Understanding of claims procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, energy and focus on delivering results
  • Intermediate PC skills (Excel, Lotus Notes, Word)
