 Senior Manager, Financial Crimes Compliance| Sydney NSW – 12 Month Contract

 The primary purpose of this Line 2 role is to own and lead the Financial Crimes Compliance Program activity across Allianz Australia Limited, including but not limited to ensuring that the delivery of new capabilities, as well as existing practices meet Allianz Australia Limited's Australian anti Financial Crimes obligations as well as those of Allianz Group SE.

 You'll be responsible for:

  • Act as the SME for Anti Bribery and Corruption, Anti Money Laundering and Sanctions, provide subject matter support for any technical queries or escalations on same and ensure business as usual activity is carried out and monitored for quality and completeness in accordance with Allianz standards.
  • Develop, enhance and monitor Financial Crimes Policies, Procedures and Frameworks which align with Allianz Group Standards and Australian Standards where applicable.
  • Act as delegate for the Business Owner on the implementation of Group Sanctions Solution project, including attending meetings with Group, attending project meetings, providing SME input, running or attending workshops for key artefacts, writing updates on progress to share with Group, and attending weekly stand ups.
  • Coordinate assurance activities as they relate to Financial Crimes Controls ensuring that key controls are regularly tested, gaps / weaknesses are identified and remediation actions are completed.
  • Oversee and review activity for sanctions, including alert dispositioning, training, maintenance of records, responses to queries from Line 1 Business Units.
  • Develop, facilitate and deliver Financial Crimes related awareness and training sessions related directly to key requirements.

 Important to your success:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in Sanctions and Financial Crimes Compliance within a Financial Services organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting Sanctions and Financial Crimes related risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Ownership in the Project delivery lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and concise board and committee reports, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
