Cyber Risk & Governance Analyst l Sydney - NSW

Do you believe the sum of the parts is greater than the whole?

This is a busy and varied role with the primary purpose of performing analysis to ensure current and emerging risks are appropriately identified, documented, assessed, mitigated and monitored.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Organising and participating in cyber risk related matters with key internal or external stakeholders
  • Undertaking information security risk management activities and reporting
  • Supporting CPS 234 requirements at Allianz Australia, related entities and third parties as applicable
  • Supporting the agency and related party information security risk assessment process,  providing pragmatic cyber security recommendations to the business
  • Identifying and performing continuous improvement initiatives including assisting in maturing policies, standards and frameworks whilst embedding these across the enterprise
  • Identifying, recording and providing advice regarding cyber security related risks, issues, incidents and mitigating actions
  • Supporting the delivery of strategic initiatives and deliverables as required
  • Providing support to the National Cyber Risk and Governance as needed
  • Engage with first and second line defence functions across the enterprise, delivering a structured, centre of excellence approach to cyber governance across the enterprise.

Important to your success:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Security, IT or business discipline
  • Previous professional experience in a relevant IT, Assurance, Risk Management, or Cyber Security support role in a large, complex organisation similar to Allianz
  • Highly developed technical knowledge of desktop hardware and software
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organising tasks and managing competing resources and demands
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences across multiple channels and mediums
