Cyber Risk and Governance Consultant l Sydney - NSW

Do you believe the sum of the parts is greater than the whole?

This is a busy and varied role with the primary purpose of performing analysis to ensure current and emerging risks are appropriately identified, documented, assessed, mitigated and monitored.

On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support and advise to Allianz Australia, related parties, level 2 entities and underwriting agencies in relation to local and regulatory information security requirements
  • Working across the enterprise to develop and embed sound cyber security risk management practices
  • Identifying and performing continuous improvement initiatives such as assisting in maturing the policies, standards and procedures owned by the team as well as helping to embed these across the enterprise
  • Performing deep dives and root cause analysis, providing recommendations and assisting with remedial actions
  • Providing and embedding cyber risk; identifying, recording and providing advice regarding cyber security related risks, issues, incidents and mitigating actions
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of information security policies, standards, frameworks and other governance material
  • Developing dashboards and cyber risk reporting for senior management
  • Supporting the National Cyber Risk and Governance Manager as required
  • Engaging with Global HO,  first and second line defence functions across Allianz Australia's business functions, driving a structured best practice cyber governance centre of excellence

Important to your success:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline including CA, CISP, CCSP, CCSK, CRISC, ISO27001 or CISM
  • Significant previous professional experience in an IT, Assurance, Risk Management, or Cyber Security support role
  • Deep understanding of Cyber Security regulatory standards and frameworks, including CPS 234
  • Highly developed technical knowledge of desktop hardware and software
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organising tasks and managing competing resources and demands
  • Proven ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate easily across a broad range of channels and mediums
