Due to business growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our dedicated Third Party Settlements team based in Adelaide. You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled Motor Claims Service Consultants to negotiate liability and drive settlement outcomes, predominantly via engagement with Third Party Insurers. You will motivate your team to achieve targets whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

As Team Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the sustainable delivery of cost effective and quality third party settlement services to maximise performance outcomes
  • Oversee workflow management to ensure business critical KPIs are achieved
  • Audit adherence to claims management practices for your team
  • Be actively involved in the training, coaching and development of team members
  • Manage external parties including Third Party Insurers, Uninsured claimants, Brokers
  • Effectively deal with customer escalations

To be successful in this role you will have‎:‎

  • Strong people management skills and a proven record of leading, motivating and developing a team
  • Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry, with solid exposure to motor portfolio management
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder relationship skills
  • Understanding of liability and contributory negligence (ideal)
  • Understanding of AFCA and IDR processes (ideal)
  • Proven skills in negotiation and confidence in handling customer complaints
  • Strong customer service ethic‎
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
