Our technical division is responsible for product development, pricing, portfolio management, reinsurance and underwriting services. We support our distribution functions through t improvement of the product and pricing framework for all of the Allianz General Insurance portfolios.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. As the Manager for Lifestyle Products, you will be part of our team with responsibility for steering the governance and performance of our lifestyle portfolio.  The role presents a distinct opportunity to work with senior leaders across Allianz and also includes the potential to partake in client facing workshops and industry forums.

In this varied, fast paced and challenging role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing guidance and recommendations for product enhancements and supporting new product development
  • Effectively manage products that comply with corporate governance
  • Working closely with the pricing team to facilitate and recommend price changes to achieve target growth and profitability;
  • Ensuring products are channel appropriate and meet customer expectations while maintaining a competitive and profitable price level;
  • Make effective Product Management decisions and ensure that distribution divisions are well informed and kept up to date
  • Analysing competitor information and make informed recommendations
  • Monitoring performance of the portfolio in line with budget and plan targets.
  • Providing technical leadership throughout tender processes to support growth aspirations
  • Act as technical lead for lifestyle specific projects
  • Lead, coach and mentor a small team of people including development of future high performers in line with the Allianz high performance culture and core leadership values. 

This role would be ideal for an individual who has acted in a specialist portfolio or product management role and is looking to develop their leadership capabilities further. 

Your skills

  • Minimum 7-10  years' experience within General Insurance specialising in Product portfolio Management or Compliance
  • Experience with managing Travel products, and/or
  • Experience with managing Personal Lines products
  • Experience working in a compliance or risk environment
  • An ability to operate at a strategic level
  • Expertise in managing multiple activities and working in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and a proven record of implementation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional customer service
  • Tertiary qualifications whilst not essential will be highly regarded
