This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive experience in Microsoft BI platform (SQL Server 2016, SSRS and SSIS) to join a leading financial services organisation.

Reporting to the Business Services Manager, you will join a small team of driven and enthusiastic individuals where you will develop broad ranging skills and capabilities. As an Analyst Programmer, you will work collaboratively with our Workers' Compensation business unit to design and develop Business Intelligence solutions to improve business practices and enhance decision making processes.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement reporting and analytics solutions in line with the business objectives.
  • Work with the business to identify opportunities for business process improvement and simplification (eg. Improve return to work results, lower claims costs, simplify payment processes),
  • Initiate projects to address identified opportunities.
  • Define data requirements and obtain data from various source systems.
  • Develop data models to store data in an efficient and flexible way,
  • Develop stored procedures, functions and SSIS packages to process data.
  • Deliver Reports, KPIs, Scorecards, Datafeeds to stakeholders using data analytics and visualisation tools such as SSRS and MicroStrategy
  • Develop strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and communicate actively to optimise solutions delivery.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016, SSIS and SSRS using the Visual Studio platform,
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, database design, development and performance tuning.
  • Experience in developing KPI, Scoreboard, Workflow reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

 Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the WorkCover scheme, claims management or workflow management functions.
  • Data Vault modelling
  • Web development experience using Python Django or ASP .NET.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as MicroStrategy, WebFocus or PowerBI.
