Allianz is looking for Bank Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance division based in Sydney CBD on a Full Time Permanent basis.

This position is responsible for reconciling multiple bank accounts and transactions for the Allianz Australia and New Zealand Group; this includes the investigation and resolving of discrepancies, with timely escalation to key stakeholders to execute resolutions so clear and concise communication (both written and verbal) is critical for this role. 

Additional responsibilities include a daily deliverable which incorporates the allocation of receipts, reconciliation of the bank account and the execution of the receipts and payments files.

You will have a passion for building relationships and rapport with a large number of stakeholders throughout the operational business units, auditors and banks which will require extensive communication skills.

The key skills & experience desired for this position are as follows:-

  • Strong communication skills (written / verbal) is essential to this role
  • Previous experience working with bank reconciliations or related cash controls
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactions is essential
  • Experience with Links and SAP is desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to work in a changing environment with a strong focus on innovation
  • Enthusiasm, energy and focus on delivering results
  • Strong ability to build positive and constructive working relationships across divisions with key stakeholders
  • Assistance with management of the group inbox
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience in Accounting / Financial Management
  • Financial Services / Insurance background is an advantage
