We have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Legal Office Manager to join our team.

The Legal Office Manager will report to the General Counsel and will form an integral part of our in-house legal team being responsible for driving process improvement, having end to end responsibility for key functions and projects whilst also supporting the broader team on administrative tasks.

Key to the success of this role will be your ability to create and implement continuous improvement initiatives associated with an in-house legal function and to take responsibility for operational support for the team.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for taking a proactive approach in supporting the broader Legal function and will be responsible for a range of administration and support tasks.

In particular, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Administrating the placement and management of Allianz company insurances
  • Lodgement of political donation returns
  • Oversight and reviews of external legal panel and contract lawyer arrangements
  • Developing and maintaining legal technology improvements for the team
  • Identifying and implementing other measures to improve Legal team operational efficiency
  • Cost centre management including internal legal billing process, managing approvals and payments of external invoices (including reimbursements and journal transfers), annual planning and monthly expense reports
  • General support to the Legal team, including scheduling and organising meetings, travel arrangements, stationery orders, and couriers

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • The ability to create continuous improvement initiatives and implement process improvements
  • Previous experience as a legal administration / office manager for an in-house team (preferred)
  • Tertiary qualifications (Business, IT or similar)
  • Familiarity with and in delivering IT related projects
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management
  • Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
