The Pricing Analyst will sit in our Transformation division and join a team of 4 where you will contribute to developing a pricing strategy by implementing best practice pricing models, and providing detailed quantitative analysis, support and insights on pricing in response to a changing product and pricing environment.


Responsibilities in the role:

  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategy and support its implementation.
  • Implement best practice pricing models and pricing scenarios, using specialised software within set timeframes.
  • Implement initiatives to support continuous refinement of pricing algorithms and reflect best practice frameworks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and approaches.
  • Perform pricing analysis, reporting and modelling in response to a changing environment.
  • Provide insights from analysis to support pricing decisions and recommendations to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Incorporate knowledge of pricing methodologies, concepts and AAL products into analysis.
  • Perform the controls outlined in the pricing governance framework and ensure adherence to all governance frameworks relevant to the pricing process

To be successful in the role:

  • You'll have a Tertiary qualification in a relevant (actuarial or related) discipline.
  • Prior experience in a pricing or actuarial analysis role ideally acquired in a financial services (preferably general insurance) and/or consulting environment
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools.
  • Will also be helpful to have experience of Wills Tower Watson software or SAS or Python to use to interrogate and manipulate
  • Ability to manage internal client expectations to ensure matters are appropriately triaged and dealt with in accordance with an agreed timeline and scope.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence
