We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Technical division. Reporting to the Head of Technical Delivery, you will be asked to support adherence to Product Governance to ensure compliance with all external regulatory requirements.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Ensure that the Technical Division is in a position to respond to all regulatory and legislative change while meeting the ongoing needs of customers, regulators and shareholders.
  • Actively participate in cross-team project and process/ solution improvements.
  • Promote and improve standards of product governance through supporting the operations of the Product Council, including scheduling, agenda, minutes and the preparation of packs, as well as maintaining the action register and product review cycle.
  • Prepare risk committee papers relevant to Product Council and assist in the preparation of relevant papers.
  • Ensure updates to the Product Catalogue align with the Product Governance Framework.
  • Align, standardise, regulate and store internal and external communication across products, ensuring any notifications to ASIC are lodged within appropriate timeframes in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Identify any trends or practices highlighted during underwriting and post loss reviews in liaison with Underwriting Services, and communicate appropriately to Technical teams.

Important to your success:

  • Experience in a project and/or product management role, acquired in a general insurance organisation.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, organising tasks and managing competing resources and demands; experience in Jira, or similar project management tools, are not expected but would be warmly welcomed.
  • In-depth technical understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
