Motor Assessor – Digital & Regional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Motor Assessor to come on board the Digital & Regional Assessing Team to apply their technical and trade knowledge to ensure motor vehicle repairs are conducted in an appropriate manner, and repair costs are fair and reasonable, all from the comfort of your home.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering best practicable assessment outcome, in either repair cost or total loss
  • Complying with motor assessing process, guidelines, allowances. parts policy, severity coding requirements and repairer standards.
  • Wherever appropriate, apply repair cost benchmarking, alternative parts reporting and scorecards to improve repairer performance.
  • Contributing to improving the customer service of Selected and non-Selected repairers.
  • Providing customers with access to the prompt resolution of complaints, including repair warranty, service related and other issues.
  • Wherever practicable complete total loss reports within 24 hours of assessment.
  • Understand customer insights and feedback. Act to put the best interests of our customers at the heart of everything we do.
  • Understand and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures to mitigate risks and compliance issues and take action to identify, report and resolve risks and issues, or escalate as necessary.

Important to your success:

  • Experience in repair shop management / estimating, in motor vehicle assessing practices, and in the provision of damaged vehicle quotations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Insurer and Repair Industry Code of Conduct.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity and provide pragmatic commercial solutions to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, and reporting and communication tools.
