Claims Support Officer | NSW - Sydney (Part-time, 30 hours per week)

Do you believe the sum of the parts is greater than the whole?

In this role, you will provide administrative and technical support to claims consultants and managers to ensure claims are managed in a timely and cost-efficient manner in alignment with the business unit objectives.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing strong customer relationships by understanding the customer's requirements, focusing on the needs of our customers and delivering excellence in our products, operations and behaviours.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the claim registration process.
  • Managing the Liability Team Inboxes, including monitoring and triaging incoming emails.
  • Ensuring mail is scanned and allocated to the claim file and that labelling is clear, concise and accurate, and that excess and reimbursement payments are allocated to the claim files.
  • Providing support to managers to ensure compliance with business unit process requirements, including policies and procedures.
  • Support the Technical Team with reporting, finance, banking and project fulfillment, including testing systems.

Important to your success:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software (Microsoft Xcel), databases, reporting and communication tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome for Allianz.
  • You'll be engaging with a range of stakeholders internal & external so superior customer service abilities will be a given.
