In this newly created Senior Manager, Media Planning and Operations role you'll be responsible for maximising the effectiveness and efficiencies of Allianz advertising through taking an enterprise approach to the management of paid media. This role is the key interface with the media agency partner, key broadcast and content media partners and associations.

Responsibilities in the role:

Lead and develop the Marketing Planning and Operations Team, with a focus on developing a thriving, high-performing team culture (3 direct reports)

Responsible for Allianz's marketing plan and planning process across Brand, Consumer, Commercial and Personal Injury channels, ensuring a single, strategic and co-ordinated integrated approach across the enterprise

With the CoE's and Distribution teams, lead the development of cohesive and integrated enterprise-wide plans, including marketing channel and media plans

Lead the interface with the Media agency, Marketing team, Research and Insights, Digital and Communication COEs, and associated Distribution businesses and their partners, to develop the enterprise marketing media strategy and annual, quarterly and month paid media plans for the business to deliver to AAL's objectives.

Create and manage a Marketing Playbook bringing together all key plans, integrated marketing performance reports and budgets to uplift transparency of marketing activity

With the COE and Distribution General Managers and their teams, develop an approach to the monthly, quarterly and annual cadence for the integration of Marketing led plans, budgets and optimisation

Facilitate the alignment and prioritisation of integrated COE marketing initiatives and inputs/ dependencies  to meet targets and utilize available resources.

Responsible for ensuring the effective execution of the Marketing calendar, including managing alignment across COE's and with key Distribution stakeholders to ensure appropriate resource and capability is in place

With COEs and Distribution teams, set success measures, benchmarks and monitor integrated Marketing effectiveness, optimising, adjusting and refining the strategy and approach as needed to maximise impact

As part of the Marketing cadence, through a process of ongoing monitoring of performance and continuous improvement of activities, campaign and propositions, contribute to the delivery of Marketing objectives with a focus on customer growth, revenue, NPS & brand consideratio

Lead the enterprise Marketing team reporting, including development of Board reporting, SMT presentations and reports, and key business articfacts such as submissions to the Direct Governance Forum and similar for Comercial.


To be successful in the role:

  • You'll have tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or equivalent.
  • You'll have extensive experience within a marketing or media agency environment, with demonstrated understanding of end to end integrated media planning and management.
  • Advanced understanding of related Martech platforms and media systems.
  • Proven experience in the development of ROMI and MMM models.
  • Demonstrated commercial focus and acumen, with advanced budget management skills and experience.
  • Proven capability and resilience in leading multiple complex programs across matrix organisations, with diverse stakeholders (internal and external) and tight timing.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
  • High level of attention to detail, curious and analytical mindset.
