The Release Coordinator will report directly into the Release Manager and is a permanent opportunity based in our offices in North Sydney.

The role will assist in managing both the local and global monthly application release process to an agreed schedule, as it relates to the Allianz Australia operation. You will facilitate and coordinate the implementation of changes (BAU and Project) into production with the aim to minimise any adverse impact on Business Users and Customers as a result of these changes.

This role will be the key liaison between local IT BAU Teams and Project Teams, global IT Teams and all other Release Stakeholders, regarding Release Management activities.

 You'll be responsible for:

• Coordinating the Combined Monthly Application Release process from both local and global perspective.
• Ensuring compliance to the process and that each Release is tracking to the defined timelines.
• Facilitating Release stand ups and implementation planning walkthroughs.
• Managing the communication of Release milestones and ensuring all Release Stakeholders are aware of the associated system outages.
• Providing input into Release activities in general and continual improvement of Release Management processes.
• Maintaining a focus on compliance and risk related matters associated with each Release.
• Assessing impact of non-release related change on each Release and the impact on production systems.
• Involvement in new Release Management challenges for upcoming developments such as the IT Master Platform project.

 Important to your success: 

• Previous professional experience of Release and Change Management processes
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to prioritise and problem solve
• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple Teams to ensure tasks are completed within the Release schedule
• Agile and open to taking on new projects and work accountabilities as needed
• Ability to work in a flexible manner as required (e.g. some weekend and international hours work will be required).
