You'll be based in our Market Street Head Office in walking distance from Town Hall station and responsible for all aspects of Work Health & Safety across ANZ, for an organisation of 4500+ employees over multiple sites.

As the Work Health & Safety Manager ANZ the primary purpose of the role will be to lead a team and manage and improve the workplace health, safety and wellbeing management systems and functions of the organisation in ANZ ensuring safe workplaces for our workers, contractors, visitors and guests.

Responsibilities in the role:

  • You'll seek to continuously improve the WHS management system, including processes, policies, systems, reporting and communication.
  • Oversee workers compensation, accessibility, and return at/to work programs.
  • Lead WHS reporting to the WHS Steering Committee, Board and other committees as required.
  • Develop and deliver WHS training for workers.
  • Oversee the selection and development of safety personnel (HSR's, First Aid Officers, and Emergency Wardens etc.)
  • Embed a culture of simplification and continuous improvement within the WHS Team.
  • Anticipate trends in workplace safety and wellbeing and adopt a collaborative risk based approach with those impacted. 


To be successful you'll have:

A strong track record in work health and safety in a corporate white collar environment.

Experience in leading a team of WHS professionals inc coaching, development & performance management.   

Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation, policy and best practice.

Experience in developing WHS systems inc evaluating and improving existing systems.

Good knowledge of workers compensation, return to work and rehabilitation management.

Ability to influence and work with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to deliver business outcomes

Experience advising and partnering with business leaders

Comfortable working independently within a greater leadership-team environment

An executive presence to front SMT and committee meetings.

Tertiary qualification in a WHS or related field
